Create an account: Fill in your first and last names, email address, cell phone number, plus a password and click Create Account to get started. To verify your identity and driving record, we’ll need you to take a photo of yourself and submit it with your driver’s license. Most members are able to drive almost immediately after being authorized.
We’ll contact you by email once we’ve reviewed your application (or if we need further information). We will also send you a Zipcard, which is an access card to any Zipcar vehicle you reserve. It generally takes 5-7 business days for the Zipcard to arrive. You must first receive your Zipcard before making a reservation and driving.
By joining the ride-hailing network, you may use a Zipcar. You may sign up for Zipcar by going to the company’s website and filling out an application. Three to seven days later, you’ll receive your Zipcard in the mail. To apply online, all you need is your driver’s license and a credit or debit card.
Hand your phone to the Zipcar employee who took your reservation. When you’re next to the car, touch the Unlock button on the Drive screen in the app. You may now begin your journey after it has been unlocked.
Drive a roundtrip. Apply online with a photo of your driver’s license ready. You’re good to go as soon as you’ve been approved. Return the vehicle you drove around in for a Roundtrip back to the same assigned spot.
