Mint’s article is titled: How do I change the email address or password for my Mint account? and has been saved to their knowledgebase since 2014. Mint provide a brief overview of what resetting an account entails, namely that you have to log into Mint with your Mint username and new (or existing) password. They also mention that if this fails, then you need to contact Mint support. Mint also provide a useful tip suggesting that you should change your Mint password regularly.
We can pretty much copy the advice given by Mint but it is worth saying that changing your Mint password regularly is extremely important, both for security reasons and because many people do not know what they are doing when signing up for accounts with weak passwords (or no passwords at all) on various websites. We should ensure our Mint passwords are strong enough that Mint cannot help us recover our Mint password.

However Mint also provide the capability for us to reset our Mint password ourselves so I will outline how to do this below.
