Can you make a venmo account without a phone number?
- To use Venmo to the best of your ability, it’s important for you to verify your phone number and email as soon as you sign up. Without a verified phone number, you won’t be able to transfer funds into your account or make/request payments.
I need to transfer money from my kid’s card for allowance to mine, but I can’t without a phone number.
My son is 11 and we have an account set up that automatically transfers money from his account into ours each week. He is buying things on his own now and wants to be able to access it when he needs it so he can use the app as well as just move the money around between accounts (AKA…he wants to buy something online). Is there any way possible that he could simply not have a phone number tied in with this? It seems silly since he’s old enough now, but I’m not so sure about linking him up with social media at 11.
It would seem like this will be a common request in the future.
